While many tend to hone in on the Hip-Hop, Drill, and Alternative genres of music that artists in Massachusetts are crafting, the blossoming R&B side of the local music scene, at times, gets overlooked. Helping to turn heads in the right direction today is Boston native Tamera King, who makes her long-awaited return following the release of "Me Over U".
Since she first began making music of her own at the age of 15, Tamera has grown into a truly exceptional artist. "Me Over U" serves as the latest reinforcement of this statement, which features production from none other than Clark D – a Rapper/Producer from Hyde Park. This release is ridiculously catchy, maintaining a revitalizing, uplifting theme throughout. Tamera King utilizes "Me Over U" to speak on the healthiness of putting oneself first in life. Often times, we center our focus around those we care about before ourselves, which can lead to both destructive behaviors and unruly relationships. As "Me Over U" unfolds, Tamera speaks on the happiness and fulfillment that come paired with this process. Showcasing not just her ability to sing, but her prowess with respect to songwriting as well, Tamera King is most definitely a high-level talent.
Though this may be her first release since 2019, I'm certain that this won't be our last time hearing from Tamera King in the near future.
