Making his way onto the Mass Music Radio airwaves once again today is Boston's Trottie Y Gizzle, who just released the official music video for his new single "Far Away". Since appearing on my radar following the release of "Free My Brothers" in late 2020, Y Gizzle has quickly risen up the ranks as one of the more formidable artists in Massachusetts. Upon first listen, one will hear the melodic fashion in which he delivers his bars, but the true gold is found when you really listen to what he's saying. For lack of better phrasing, this dude is really rapping his ass off. Trottie Y Gizzle utilizes "Far Away" to reflect on what he would say to his family upon his passing. The emotion-drenched offering reflects on the often forgotten side of street life, where life is lost and loved ones are taken far too soon. As mentioned above, Y Gizzle knows how to orchestrate his raps in a meaningful fashion, but the melodic style of delivery here really pushes the sentiment over the top. One can literally feel the emotion with each passing second, which is something that has really helped Trottie Y Gizzle's music connect with me on a deep level. He's truly a prolific artist, and is only gaining more momentum as each new release of his comes forth. Watch the official music video for Trottie Y Gizzle's "Far Away" below:
