Some of you may know Gabe Gill from his work alongside Honeyfitz under the moniker Deadmall, while others may be familiar with this Western MA native through the selections of music he's released under his solo-discography. Regardless of the instant thought that his name produces in your head there's one thing for certain, and it's that Gabe Gill is one of Western Massachusetts' most prominent acts.
Returning today with the official music video for "Fake Diamonds", I'm filled with this feeling of excitement when writing about Gabe's music. The way he pieces his tracks together is so uniquely his, as he often likes to experiment with new sounds to see what works well for him and what doesn't. This type of bravery with respect to his art is amazing, which to be honest is something that has routinely attracted me his way whenever he drops new music. By continually seeking the development of his craft, and doing so in a manner that still remains true to who he is at his artistic core, Gabe Gill has constructed a beautiful catalog of music.
"Fake Diamonds" really helps to reinforce this statement, as it sounds unlike any of his previous records, but still remains aligned with the rest of his discography in the same sentence. Kendall Pestana, who was tasked with bringing this video into existence, helped to make this phenomenal track that much more impactful. She certainly deserves her praise, as the output has resulted in one of my favorite Gabe Gill visuals to date.
