Springfield native, Jxylen, has amassed a discography full of domineering, well-calculated raps. The style of delivery that he utilizes is entrancing, as each new addition to his musical catalog somehow unveils new depths of his talents that were previously undiscovered. Today, Jxylen makes his way back onto the Mass Music Radio Airwaves with a brand new release titled "City of God".
While many tend to hone in on the sounds exiting the eastern side of the state, Western Massachusetts should not be excluded from the conversation when analyzing the art prevalent in this region of the country. There are a wide variety of artists with extensive discographies, with Jxylen being the perfect example of just how true this statement rings.
The first word that comes to mind when describing Jxylen's presence on this release is divine. I'm not speaking in hyperbole when I say that I truly believe as though this beat was passed down from the gods for Jxylen to rap over, as this young artist manages to create entirely different worlds through his music. The natural ability that he possesses with respect to the cultivation of this type of experience is something that should not be looked over in the slightest.
From start to finish, this visual separates itself from the pack. Big shout out to Mvrcelius who was responsible for bringing this video into existence, and Rubberbands who laced Jxylen with this phenomenal instrumental to rap over. If you like what you're hearing, definitely check out Righteous Justen, who is another Springfield rapper that works alongside Jxylen and has a really solid catalog of music.
