Bby.Bird is a promising duo that's composed of Massachusetts-based creatives, bby j and theworldbirdie, who together have assisted some truly powerful artists with the curation of their sound. Today, the pair make their way across Mass Music Radio with a shimmering instrumental tape titled SUMMER WHITNEY.
Bby.Bird first exploded onto Massachusetts' music scene last summer, following their work alongside Cambridge artist, soap.wav, on his newest project - Atlantis. Since their discographical debut, the pair have continued to make their mark on the music exiting this state. Working with artists such as CAEV and BoriRock, they're quite literally shaping the sounds of some of Massachusetts' best. Most notably, the duo oversaw the production of BoriRock's Off The Yins Vol. 1, which currently rests as one of my favorite projects by any artist this year.
Taking influence from the ongoing change in season, Bby.Bird's latest creation is one that I had no idea was coming until it was released. To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement, especially considering the fact that Massachusetts was quickly blasted by a heat wave upon its debut. Coincidence? I think not!
Some of the standouts off of SUMMER WHITNEY include "LORO PARQUE" which features BoriRock, "CALM ME DOWN" which features excellent vocal work from both theworldbirdie and Daniel Maldonado of Bridge Visions, and "HUMID AS EVER", a song that has literally been speaking to my soul over the last few days. SUMMER WHITNEY is a project that truly sets the scene for the coming months, and is one that will be in heavy rotation as the temperature levels continue to rise.
