By: Shamus Hill Eph See might be a new name to many of those who are familiar with Massachusetts' music scene, however the staff here at Mass Music Radio sets our aim towards changing this narrative today, as they make their way onto the blog for the first time following the release of "The Pill". Take a moment, close your eyes, and try to envision the feeling that comes attached with first opening your eyes in the morning as you witness beams of sunlight shine through your window's blinds. This is exactly what I felt when I first gave a listen through Eph See's most recent addition to their musical catalog. Thanks to Oscar Wahlberg, I became familiar with this amazing artist over the course of the last year, and it's safe to say that I have been a fan ever since my first listen through their discography. Since they started making music at the age of 17 in high school, Eph See has grown overwhelmingly passionate about this form of expression. On "The Pill" they speak on how the concept of growing up and maturing wasn't exactly like how they'd pictured it would be during their childhood. As Eph See continues to go down the process of self-development, they find solace is the unknown, something which they wish they'd known much earlier in life. Eph See is certainly one of MMR's new favorites, and we highly suggest that you all tune into their discography! Tune into Mass Music Radio to hear more from Eph See and other artists from across the state of Massachusetts.

By: Shamus Hill Deepvoice Jojo recently pulled up to the Mass Music HQ and dropped an amazing 45 minute set! We highly recommend checking it out! By: Shamus Hill Quincy, MA native, Glvsshouse, has been the talk of the city lately. For those of you who don't follow Mass Music Radio on social media, we're thrilled to let you know that the first installment of our monthly column in The Quincy Sun is officially out now! Centered around Glvsshouse and his career in music, the staff here at MMR is incredibly excited to be supporting local artists on an entirely new platform! Last week, Glvsshouse unleashed the official music video for his recent single "Games" and it is safe to say that from a creative lens, this visual serves as one of the best I have seen in a long time. Taking place in an animated arcade, Glvsshouse takes part in a quest towards a fulfilling love life -- something that seems much harder to play than Grand Theft Auto. The vision this Quincy artist possessed was carried out exceptionally well, and we have to give props to Logan Gardner who was tasked with bringing this video to life. If you're in the Quincy area, definitely stop by one of the city's convenience stores to read more about Glvsshouse! Day after day, new releases pop up on my radar that only further the Bay State's reputation as one of the more promising music communities in existence right now. Today, Boston's B Blazo makes his way back onto the Mass Music Radio Airwaves with the official music video for his single "Kurt Cobain". B Blazo, who's been on a tear over the course of the last six months, is one of the artists in this state that I am most excited about. He's already in possession of both a style and sound that are uniquely his, and as each forthcoming song is added to his discography, it's as though we are exposed to a new side of his artistry. Tanj, who has worked alongside Millyz, Cordae, and many others throughout the music industry, is responsible for assembling this visual. If you're ever in the market for some new local music, then I strongly suggest that you tap in with Tanj, as he routinely collaborates with some of Massachusetts' best. These two Mission Hill natives possess a ferocious presence on this track, something that instantly made me a fan of their respective artistries. Just when I think that I'm on top of what's going on within the Massachusetts music scene, more new artists appear that raise the bar higher than ever. This is exactly what occurred today with both King Brickz and Big Body Benz, who's fiery single "Mask On" is only one of the latest hot tracks to come out of Boston in recent memory. The city's music scene has been on a tear as of late, so I would highly suggest tapping in with some of the area's most talented rappers as soon as you possibly can. Brockton's Luvaboy Lincoln makes her debut across the Mass Music Radio Airwaves today following the release of the live performance of her single "Write You A Song (WYAS)". Her first visual release in over three years, Luvaboy seeks to make a lasting impression on supporters of local music, especially given the prominence that has been associated with the music exiting Brockton in recent years. First getting hip to her catalog from a fellow coworker of mine from Brockton, Luvaboy Lincoln's ability to sing becomes overwhelmingly apparent upon one's first listen through her music. She possesses this natural, poised presence atop each instrumental that passes her direction, something that has really attributed to the construction of her well-rounded discography. I'm thrilled that Luvaboy Lincoln is back in the realm of releasing new music, and I'm hopeful that her sound will attract the masses from both Massachusetts and beyond. I was first put on to Doobie's music through fellow Boston artist - Valley - who recently graced our airwaves with his single "Trench Baby". Doobie, who's fresh off of his recent project Trap Diary, has steadily amassed a following for himself - both within the city limits of Boston and beyond. His recent single alongside Dul Based and Moa Cash, "Traffic", has garnered more than 20K views on YouTube up through this current moment in time, and according to the comment section, has assisted the Boston rapper in making fans from across the globe. What I enjoy most about Doobie 83 is the way he delivers his bars. He possesses this deep voice that allows for each individual syllable of his to hit with utmost precision. I expect that fans of the local music scene will become familiar with Doobie 83's with time, as this promising young rapper is one that is prepping to make his mark in his hometown. John Rawl, who's assisted with a plethora of music videos coming out of the state of Massachusetts recently, helped Grunge with the debut of this visual, one that rests as his best to date. Since moving to Los Angeles last year, Donald Grunge has been relentlessly working towards the development of his discography. Working alongside an abundance of Boston transplants that have found their stride on the West Coast, Grunge has been truly stepping into his final form. Indicative of how iN GLEEM i TRUST will be sounding upon its release, "Money Talks" puts Donald Grunge's ability to rap melodically on full display. Like much of his catalog of music, this track becomes more and more addictive with each passing second, which ultimately really excites me for his upcoming tape. Watch the official music video for "Money Talks" below: By: Shamus Hill Trottie Y Gizzle recently made his first appearance on Mass Music Radio following the release of the official music video for "Far Away". Taking on an incredibly emotional feel, "Far Away" was an exceptional look inward towards who Trottie Y Gizzle is at his core, and what he endures. Today, he returns to the MMR Airwaves with "My City" -- an offering that provides a realistic anecdote of what life is like in the streets of Boston. While the method of delivery on "My City" certainly differentiates itself from that of "Far Away", it speaks to Y Gizzle's already prevalent capability to explore with his sound. His raps are typically retrospective in nature, as Y Gizzle often reflects on the dangers of day-to-day life, and past trauma that remains by his side. His discography truly feels like a method of venting for the young Boston native, and as one gives his music more spins, the listener really grows close to the person that Y Gizzle is. Trottie Y Gizzle is not only successfully making a name for himself, but he challenges the status-quo with respect to how people from outside of Boston, view Boston. Tap in with Y Gizzle as he takes you on a tour of "[His} City". Both Caev and BoriRock are artists from Boston who've been featured on our blog and radio stream a countless amount of times up through now. They are in a bracket of their own with respect to creativity, and every single time they drop, fans from both across the state of Massachusetts and beyond flock to their releases time and time again. Something that's for certain on releases from Caev is the fact that he will provide some top tier vocals each and every time. He manages to evoke a large range of emotions in his songs, and there's truly no telling which direction each forthcoming addition to his musical catalog will take. On "Love's 4 Fools", the sentiment revolves around survival, aspirations toward success, and navigating safely through one's surroundings. Not only does the wordplay on this track have a vast depth of meaning, but it is a straight up blissful listen. No matter what the subject matter, Caev manages to make it sound beautiful. BoriRock, who's certainly more so known for his capabilities with respect to rap, manages to hold his own on this melodic offering. Proving that his artistry truly is malleable, Bori adds another solid piece of work to his resume. Listen to Mass Music Radio to hear more from Boston's Caev and BoriRock!
